2018

Introduction of FUJI SMD assembly machines at Grossenbacher Systeme.

Market launch of Digital Signage systems for outdoor use by Grossenbacher Systeme: with display sizes over 46 inches, interactive Digital Signage and condition monitoring with service portal.

2017

Amalthea Electronics CZ is founded and the participation in LNT Automation CZ is dissolved.

elfab AG convinces with creative and reliable solutions for LED placement.

elfab Suisse Romande carries out historical changes in SMD placement. A new assembly machine was installed to meet the increasing requirements for smaller components.

2016

comtac – from the sensor to the cloud. Bettschen Elektronik’s innovative activities in the field of digitization are turning into more. Initially planned as the “comtac” product family, the IoT products are driving us forward more and more internationally. Thus Bettschen Elektronik AG becomes comtac AG, recognized for great engineering and innovative IoT products.

Under the direction of CEO and founder Oliver Roth, marketing and sales are reorganised in the Group and location management is adapted to suit the new Group management circumstances.

2015

At the end of 2015, Andreas Schimanski, as a co-founder of the Amalthea Group, decides to withdraw from the shareholder base and give up his offices and functions, in order to devote himself fully to his passion: renewable energies.

2014

Participation in LNT Automation CZ s.r.o. in Tachov, Czech Republic. 3,000 m2 for cost-effective production of construction contracts with high manual effort. Weekly shuttle to the St. Gallen location in Switzerland.

2013

Grossenbacher Systeme GmbH: Establishment and development of the Grossenbacher assembly and logistics centre for the EU area in Lottstetten near Singen, Germany.

Establishment of elfab GmbH, also in Lottstetten, as a logistics centre for elfab customers in the EU area.

2012  

Acquisition of Bettschen Elektronik AG in Flurlingen near Schaffhausen. Synergy: Electronic engineering centre for the whole Group. Grossenbacher development team focuses on in-house product development.

Renaming of elfab Elektronik und Handels AG to elfab electronics AG. Consolidation of all Group purchasing activities.

2010

Acquisition of Forelec SA in Corcelles near Neuchâtel. Strategic approach to better open up the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Renaming to elfab Suisse Romande SA. Slogan: „From Romandy for Romandy”.

2009

Acquisition of Grossenbacher Systeme AG in St. Gallen. Synergies: Expansion of production facilities including for large series. Approval for the production of medical devices according to ISO 13485. In-house product range with touch panels and IPCs. Doubling of the purchasing volume.

2008

Organic growth of elfab from originally 60 to nearly 90 employees. Targeted marketing and sales activities. Established account management. Reorganisation of production processes.

2007    

Establishment of Amalthea Holding AG by the founding shareholders Roth and Schimanski.

Acquisition of elfab AG and elfab Elektronik und Handels AG (EMS services).
